What exactly is EdCamp?

EdCampMSP is an open, participatory, dynamic and free professional development conference. EdCamp brings together those who understand the complexities and promises of learning - actual teachers, administrators, and educational support personnel who facilitate their own conversations to build a deeper understanding of how students learn.

History: The EdCamp movement was started in 2010 by a group of educators in Philadelphia. The movement is built on the pay it forward method. The hosts of EdCampMSP were able to meet with and learn from the EdCamp Milwaukee hosts. We returned the favor and as hosts we have provided help to the inaugural EdCampMadWI (Madison, Wisconsin), EdCamp Magnet (Minnesota), EdCamp Winnipeg (Manitoba), and EdCamp Bemidji (Minnesota), EdCampMidMN (Minnesota), and EdCampSEMin (Minnesota).

Our team is currently planning for EdCampMSP 2016 , which will take place Saturday, October 1st at Vidku.
